Our Commitment to Privacy

Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what information Spiral Scout LLC (“Spiral Scout,” “we,” “us”) collects when you visit this website, how we use it, and the choices you have.

We’ve structured our website so you can browse and find the information you need without having to identify yourself or share any personal information. Where we do collect personal information, such as through a contact form, a project inquiry, or a newsletter signup, we tell you at the point of collection and explain why.

Sites Covered by This Policy

This policy covers spiralscout.com, our blog, and our open-source project sites: spiral.dev, roadrunner.dev, and cycle-orm.dev. Spiral QA (spiralqa.com) and Wippy (wippy.ai) maintain their own separate privacy policies. This policy does not cover data collected on those sites.

The Information We Collect

Personal information is information you voluntarily share with us, such as your name, email address, and project details, when you fill out a contact form, request a quote, subscribe to our newsletter, or apply for a job. We use this information to respond to your inquiry, evaluate your application, or send the communications you’ve signed up for. We do not sell your personal information.

Non-personal information is data about how visitors use our site that isn’t tied to your identity, such as pages visited, browser type, and general location. We use this information in aggregate to understand how the site is used and to improve it.

Cloudflare and SafeLine WAF — security services that protect the site from bots and malicious traffic. These are strictly necessary and are not affected by your cookie choices.
YouTube (Google LLC) — embedded videos on some pages may set cookies when played.

We do not share your information for any purpose beyond what’s described in this policy without giving you the opportunity to opt out.

You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in those emails.

Data Retention

We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy:

Contact form and project inquiry data: retained for up to 3 years after our last meaningful interaction, unless a longer period is necessary for an existing business relationship, legal obligations, or the establishment or defense of legal claims.
Newsletter subscriber data: retained until you unsubscribe
Job applicant data: retained for as long as reasonably necessary to complete the recruitment process and, where permitted by applicable law, for a limited period afterward to address legal obligations or claims. If we would like to retain your information for consideration for future opportunities beyond that period, we will obtain any consent required by applicable law.
Analytics and advertising cookie data: retained in accordance with our configured retention settings and the applicable provider’s retention rules, and only for as long as reasonably necessary for analytics, measurement, and advertising purposes.

Our Commitment to Data Security

We use appropriate physical, electronic, and administrative safeguards to protect the information we collect. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information consistent with industry practice.

Children’s Privacy

The right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data. To do so, email team@spiralscout.com.
The right to opt out of marketing communications at any time, using the unsubscribe link in our emails.
The right to withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on your consent to process your data. Withdrawing consent doesn’t affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.
The right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
