Appspace is a leading provider of workplace experience and digital signage solutions, helping businesses engage employees and customers across diverse industries. Their software platform is a critical part of enterprise communication, meaning that software reliability and performance are non-negotiable.
However, as Appspace continued to expand its feature set and platform complexity, maintaining consistent software quality became an increasing challenge. The company needed a robust, scalable test automation framework that could support its web, mobile web, and web-native platforms, enabling faster feature releases without sacrificing quality or increasing manual testing efforts.
Spiral Scout partnered with Appspace to design and implement a test automation framework that could streamline regression testing, accelerate deployment cycles, and reduce QA bottlenecks, allowing the Appspace team to ship updates with greater confidence and speed.

Ensuring Full Test Coverage Across Multiple Platforms
Appspace’s software ecosystem operates across web, mobile web, and native applications, requiring a test automation framework that could handle cross-platform testing efficiently. Without a unified solution, testing inconsistencies and delays in regression cycles were a major challenge.
Robust Automated Testing Framework
To address this, Spiral Scout used CodeceptJS and Appium, integrating them with BrowserStack to enable comprehensive, cross-platform test execution. This solution ensured that all software features were tested across devices and browsers, reducing platform-specific issues before deployment.
Building a Scalable Automation Framework
With new features being released regularly, Appspace needed an automation system that could evolve alongside its platform. A rigid or fragmented testing setup would have slowed down adoption and reduced efficiency.
Flexible Text Framework
To solve this, we developed a flexible test automation architecture, ensuring test scripts could be easily extended as new features were introduced. We also designed a centralized test configurator, making it easier to define, modify, and execute test cases at scale.
