About the Project
At the Snapdragon 2023 event, Qualcomm aimed to demonstrate advanced AI capabilities through an engaging interactive experience. The project involved using generative AI and Whisper technologies to allow voice commands to interact with the phone’s capabilities, creating dynamic prompts that could be interpreted and acted upon in real-time. Spiral Scout, in collaboration with Folk Devils, designed and executed a Mad Libs-style application that showcased Qualcomm’s AI innovations, providing users with a seamless and captivating experience.

The project required integrating Whisper technologies to allow real-time voice commands, a complex task given the need for seamless interaction and accuracy.
Whisper and AI Integration
Spiral Scout integrated Whisper technologies to allow users to input partial sentences, which the system would then complete in a humorous or engaging way, showcasing the phone’s advanced AI capabilities.
Dynamic Visual Display
Ensuring that the generated images were displayed quickly and effectively on external displays was crucial for user engagement.
Fast Stable Diffusion Implementation
Utilized Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Mobile Platform with Fast Stable Diffusion to process AI images on-device, achieving image load times of under 4 seconds.
Technical Integration and Execution
The integration of Stable Diffusion and Whisper technologies directly on the Android phone required meticulous planning and execution.
Seamless Technical Integration
Developed a server application to tie all components together, facilitating communication between the phone and the Stable Diffusion server, ensuring all components worked seamlessly together.
