Girl-karma was born out of the idea that girls of all ages need a better way to find inspiration and receive answers to their beauty, fashion and life questions. Their thinking was that girl-karma’s combination of a customized video platform, Q&A forum, and blog is a step in the right direction, and they hope you agree.
What we built
We built a private community for younger women to help each other by sharing their knowledge about beauty, fashion, and life. The members on the site could set their preferences and interests via a survey tool we created in order to customize the user experience and serve them specific content based on what they are most interested in viewing. Girl-karma could host videos, has a Quora-style question and answer forum and uses customized questionnaire answers and Facebook user data to improve the content shown to members. Spiral Scout built the entire Girl-karma site including their content management and account management system, where the team can manage and edit all users and site content from an easy to use interface.
What Jen, Founder of Girl Karma, said about her experience with our team: "Although this was our first time creating a website, we felt like we were in great hands because SpiralScout really guided us through the website creation process. They walked us through the different ways we could build our product and gave us advice on many aspects of the site, including user experience and SEO. During the building of the site, they were professional, personable and willing to go the extra mile if there was ever a miscommunication. Overall, they gave us great value by giving us a great price, building things quickly and being responsive to our needs."
